
Our Italian Book Club is a unique opportunity for book lovers and Italian language enthusiasts to immerse themselves in literature, share opinions, and experience Italian culture authentically. The club meets once a month online to discuss the selected book, which can range from contemporary novels to classics, short stories, and works of Italian fiction. Each meeting involves a variety of activities:
- guided book discussions, where everyone can share their thoughts, feelings, and perspectives.
- Analysis of significant passages, exploring themes, characters, writing style, and the author’s vocabulary.
- Fun quizzes and games based on the book’s content to reinforce understanding and newly learned vocabulary.
- Sharing personal experiences and making connections between the book’s themes and real life, fostering spontaneous dialogue.
- Cultural insights about the author, historical context, or aspects of Italian culture present in the reading.
The club is open to learners of all levels, from complete beginners to highly advanced speakers. Each meeting is thoughtfully designed to be accessible and welcoming, with activities that stimulate curiosity and encourage active participation. Throughout every session, you will be supported by a dedicated teacher, who carefully guides the discussions, answers any questions about the Italian language, and provides assistance in overcoming any challenges that may arise during reading. Our goal is to make sure that everyone feels comfortable expressing their ideas, asking questions, and delving into the meanings and nuances of the books we read together.
